Our friends at Optimized Lighting Engineering and Design have made such a difference in the lives of the Arizona Humane Society's pets! Brett Lorenzen offered his expertise to AHS to design and engineer a back-up generator system for our Sunnylope Campus, which was not designed or wired to support generators critical during power outages (though renovated over the years since 1957).

Because of his design, we are now able to provide reliable electricity to our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital, Bottle Baby Kitten ICU, and other acute medical care treatment areas. Brett offered his services on this project, complex due to the many decades of hardware used at the location, and provided us with a comprehensive and detailed plan.

AHS operates solely on donations to rescue, heal, adopt and advocate for the most vulnerable animals in the Valley, and some of the most critical donations come from those who give generously in-kind. Brett is now one of these key partners and we are grateful for his care and concern for animal welfare in Maricopa County. His work on this project is truly life-saving!
